November 29, 2011 – Life Cycle Approaches (LCAs) – Private Sector Stakeholder Session
Meeting Overview
The NRT conducted a stakeholder convening session with the private sector in its research and consideration of how Life Cycle Approaches LCAs can be used in the Canadian economy. The NRT focused on what could be done to better leverage the opportunities presented by LCAs to support economic competitiveness that fosters environmental stewardship within the Canadian private sector.
Meeting Objectives
The primary purpose of this workshop is to gather input and feedback on the NRT’s preliminary findings related to LCA-related drivers, risks, opportunities and barriers associated with the private sector in Canada. The session will explore the potential roles and responsibilities of the federal government (GoC) in supporting the uptake of LCAs within the private sector.
