November 22, 2011 – Life Cycle Approaches (LCAs) – Public Sector Stakeholder Session
Meeting Overview
The NRT conducted a stakeholder convening session with the public sector in its research and consideration of how LCAs can be used in federal government internal operations and decision-making processes. The NRT intends to focus on what could be done to better leverage the opportunities presented by LCAs to support sound management practices that foster environmental stewardship within the Canadian public sector.
Meeting Objectives
The primary purpose of this workshop was to gather input and feedback on the NRT’s preliminary findings related to LCAs-related drivers, risks, opportunities and barriers associated with the public sector in Canada. The session explored broader frameworks of implementing institutional change within the federal government to further increase the uptake of LCAs within internal operations and decision-making processes.
