Decision Making Practices for Sustainable Development
This book explores how Canadian institutions can integrate sustainable development concerns into their every day management decisions. It applies to organizations at all levels and in all sectors: professional associations, labour organizations, businesses, governments and non-government organizations.
The discussion results from the experience of decision makers from across Canada and further afield who have been introducing sustainable development concepts, objectives and principles into the management practices of many different types of organizations.
Their attempts to change or influence their internal decision making to address objectives and priorities related to the environment and sustainable development have been reviewed and analyzed in order to identify the common elements of any attempt to integrate sustainable development considerations into management practice.
