The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) joined with the NRTEE and the provincial round tables of Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan to initiate a dialogue on "sustainable tourism". The dialogue resulted in a "code of ethics for tourists", a "code of ethics for the industry", and a set of "recommended guidelines" for the industry.
