Raison d'Être The National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRTEE) promotes the sustainability of our environment and our economy through the provision of information and advice. Economic growth and prosperity are of central importance to Canadians. However, typically there are trade-offs between economic activity and the health of the Canadian and global environments. In response to this dilemma, the NRTEE channels rigorous research, stakeholder views and the resulting new knowledge into policy making to improve economic and environmental outcomes. Strategic Outcome Federal policy development on environment and economy issues, as well as decisions in other key sectors, are influenced by NRTEE advice. Financial Resources ($ thousands)|
