Governance is the process by which societies or organizations make important decisions, how they involve others, and how they account to citizens. Integrating the environment and the economy requires new governance methods. 

Environmental issues such as water scarcity and climate change require our governments to consider new ways of making policies.

In Canada, the central idea of sustainable development can only succeed if it considers environmental and economic objectives and concerns, together.
