Aperçu de la réunion
La Table ronde nationale sur l’environnement et l’économie (TRN) à organisé une rencontre des parties intéressées pour étoffer sa recherche sur la façon dont les approches du cycle de vie peuvent être utilisées et appuyées par le gouvernement du Canada. La TRN vise à mieux atténuer les risques et accentuer les caractéristiques des approches du cycle de vie pour rehausser la compétitivité économique et la gérance environnementale du Canada.
Objectifs de la réunion
La séance avait pour but d’explorer les réactions et les actions possibles du gouvernement fédéral pour appuyer l’adoption des approches du cycle de vie au pays. Elle visait trois objectifs principaux :
- Valider le cadre des principaux éléments des approches du cycle de vie définies par la TRN;
- Examiner les obstacles nuisant actuellement à l’adoption des approches du cycle de vie dans les secteurs public et privé;
- Déterminer une série d’instruments de politique fédéraux et de mesures à recommander au gouvernement du Canada.
