We are undertaking groundbreaking policy research and engaging more Canadians than ever before, and we want to let you know about it. Through the NRT Review you'll get the latest information on the work we are doing and find out how you can get involved.

Finding sustainable pathways through e-convening.
We want your input.

As we set our next policy advisory agenda, the NRT is engaging in public consultation. As Canada’s only national organization with a direct mandate from Parliament to engage Canadians in the generation and promotion of sustainable development advice and solutions, we are reaching out to hear your ideas and suggestions.

Whether you are a regular participant in NRT consultation sessions, an expert or practitioner in the sustainability field, or an occasional reader of our reports and visitor to our new website, we would like to hear your suggestions. (by April 25, 2012)

Cautious Optimism: Western Perspectives on a Low-Carbon Economy

In November 2011, nearly 50 western Canadians were brought together by the National Round Table and the Canada West Foundation to discuss the risks to and opportunities for western Canada as the global economy becomes more carbon-constrained. The key elements in and barriers to the development and implementation of a low-carbon growth strategy were addressed. We convene opinion leaders and experts

Over the past year the NRT has held more than 50 stakeholder consultation sessions and met with several hundred experts. We also held our first live video webcast on sustainable water use and Canada’s natural resource sectors in January.

We generate ideas and provide realistic solutions

Since September we've released two new reports with considered advice on reconciling environmental and economic issues
