2010-2011 – NRTEE Report on Travel, Hospitality and Conference Expenditures
As required by the Treasury Board Directive for the Management of Expenditures on Travel, Hospitality and Conferences, this report provides information on the total annual expenditures for each of travel, hospitality and conferences for the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy (NRTEE or Round Table) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011.
This information is updated annually and does not contain information withheld under the Access to Information Act or the Privacy Act.
Expenditures on travel, hospitality and conferences incurred by federal departments and agencies are for the most part directly related to supporting departmental mandate(s) and the government’s priorities.
The Round Table’s research and advice focuses on sustaining Canada’s prosperity without borrowing resources from future generations or compromising their ability to live securely. It raises awareness among Canadians and their governments about the challenges of sustainable development. The Round Table promotes credible and impartial policy solutions that are in the best interest of all Canadians. The NRTEE brings together distinguished sustainability leaders active in business, universities, environmentalism, labour, public policy, and community life from across Canada. Our members are appointed by the federal government for a mandate of up to three years. They meet in a round table format that offers a safe haven for discussion and encourages the unfettered exchange of ideas leading to consensus.
Further information on the mandate, roles, responsibilities and programs of the NRTEE can be found in the NRTEE’s 2011-2012 Main Estimates, available on the following website: http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/est-pre/20112012/me-bpd/docs/me-bpd-eng.pdf
